Over the past few decades, I've had several experiences with family businesses. None were my family (which probably is the reason I've had to work so hard in my career). But they are a special breed of entrepreneurial endeavor. Recently, I was interviewed for an article in the Harvard Business Review about a fictional (at least the names were changed to protect the guilty) family business.
